Brodart book jackets provide necessary and long-lasting protection for book covers during circulation. All book jackets are made of 1.5-mil lo-luster polyester film for proven durability.
- Paperbacks, trade paperbacks, and trade books without dust covers are covered with Plastikleer® jackets without paper backing.
- Books with dust jackets are covered with jackets that include paper backing.
- Both types are available in 30 sizes to provide an exact fit for most books.
- Covers feature a convenient clear 1/8" edge along the top and bottom to allow off-sized jackets to "fit" without exposing the paper liner.
Attachment Specifications:
- Covers can be fitted "loose" on dust jackets-- not glued or taped—to allow for easy cover changes.
- Glued covers: permanent bond latex-based.
- Taped covers: 3M® product, reinforced with nylon filament for extra durability.
Customizations:
- “Standard" covering method extends the dust jacket beyond the edge of the Plastikleer cover by 1/2".
- Option to trim covers flush with the book's dust jacket.
- Option to extend covers beyond the dust jacket.
