Duralam converts your paperbacks to durable hardcovers.
Binding Process:
- Starts with the original publisher’s paperback book.
- Cover and original hot melt glue is removed.
- Original cover is laminated with nylon lamination material and a paper backer for extra protection.
- Two end sheets are attached to each Brodart prebound book to preserve its pages.
- Books over 1/4" in thickness are double-fan glued with a poly vinyl acetate glue.
- Outside edges are inspected for margin and minimum trim may be taken.
- White backing paper wraps the edges. Our Duralam process is compliant with glued Library Binding Institute standards.
