- Pocket Insert: Date-due grid, call number, title, and author information.
- Title Card: Author, title, annotation, ISBN, call number, publisher, and copyright information.
- Borrowers’ Cards: Information about the loan period of the item. Printed with a date-due grid, call number, title, and author information.
- Shelflist Cards: Library shelflist information. A shelftlist is a catalog (list) of holdings arranged in call number order. Printed with a call number, title, author, and acquisition information. Information usually includes the list price, the vendor (Brodart), and the month and year of purchase.
- Main Entry/Author Card(s): One for every author (and sometimes editor) in the MARC record. Printed with author, title, annotation, ISBN, call number, publisher, and copyright information.
- Subject Card(s): One for every subject heading in the MARC record. Printed with author, title, annotation, ISBN, call number, publisher, and copyright information.
- Sorted Cards: Supplied in a pocket, loose in the item, or affixed to it; or sorted and provided separate from item.
Standard Configurations
Most libraries request one of the following standard card kit configurations:
Pocket & Insert: One of three sizes of pocket (affixed or loose) and a pocket insert with a date-due grid, plus call number, author, title, and acquisition information.
Pocket, Insert, Spine Label, & Book Card: One of three sizes of pocket (affixed or loose), a pocket insert with a date-due grid, plus call number, author, title, and acquisition information, a spine label, and a book card.

Full Kit: One of three sizes of pocket (affixed or loose), a pocket iInsert with a date-due grid, plus call number, author, title, and acquisition information, and a spine label. Plus catalog cards (shelflist, main entry/author card; subject card). Brodart provides one set of catalog cards for each item.
