The Approval Plan
You've leased these books when they were popular, now it is time to make a commitment for your ongoing collection development. Review your leased collection periodically with regard to circulation numbers. This process creates three categories of books.

Books with the highest circulation. (Everyone loves these reads, for the moment.)
|
|
|
Books that are not circulating. (Think of them fondly, but it is time to part with them.)
|
|
|
Books with consistent if not high circulation numbers. (Well liked, "keepers".)

The books in the first category are the most popular books in your collection, and ideally should be no more than three years old.
Those in the second category are taking up space and preventing your leased collection from truly being the collection of the most popular reading material it should be. They should be returned to McNaughton.
Our volume discount book sale flyer is specifically for the books in category three. It is a great way to recognize substantial savings on those leased books, which deserve a permanent spot in your collection.
As a lease plan subscriber, you have the opportunity to purchase your leased books whenever you want to. You receive a new book sale flyer in every other edition of your monthly catalog. You provide basic information such as your account number and the number of leased books you want to purchase etc. No title detail or time consuming report maintenance required, so it is easy to make your patron's favorite reads part of your permanent collection.
