With today's authors and illustrators producing work at a record rate, providing your patrons with paperback materials is a real challenge. You can count on McNaughton's Paperback Purchase Plan to offer you an affordable, timesaving and efficient way to keep pace with your patrons' appetite for paperbacks.
For more than a half-century, librarians have trusted McNaughton Book Services to satisfy patron demand for high-circulating, popular reading materials. A perfect companion to McNaughton's Adult Book and AudioBound Plans, our Paperback Plan gives you the same personalized service, superior selection and great
fulfillment. In other words, we'll help you put the right paperbacks in the right hands at the right time.
Free Months Service
McNaughton provides one month of free service to all new paperback accounts. You will receive 13 months of service for the price of 12 your first year. You may use your free allowance at any time to help build your paperback collection.
Selection Made Simple
McNaughton's monthly selection lists take the guesswork out of identifying upcoming hot titles and enable you to select the right paperbacks every time. You'll save valuable time because our experienced selection team reviews hundreds of soon-to-be-published titles each month to ensure that all selections will be high-demand titles.
You will receive two selection lists each month: one for adults, plus one for young adults and children. These lists offer the best new releases from a wide variety of topics in each age group. Each month you have the opportunity to choose from prepublication or original paperbacks and previous hardcover titles now available in paperback. You can depend on high fulfillment because McNaughton maintains inventory on all titles offered on our selection lists.

Standard Processing - Our standard processing includes a white spine label, and a pocket mounted on the front or back flyleaf.
We've got it Covered - You can increase the durability and extend the circulation life of your paperbacks easily and affordably with our optional in-house cover reinforcement service. Dura-Guard® protects your paperbacks with flexible heavy-gauge, clear plastic covers while maintaining the publisher's original artwork.
FREE Electronic Cataloging - We offer a variety of cataloging options. You can choose from our standard cataloging, or from the options available within your cataloging type. Full cataloging records in U.S. MARC or MICROLIF format are available for your selections complete with optional item records for the most popular library management systems. We can offer a generic cataloging record for titles ordered on the monthly paperback list, or the library can choose to get records and bar codes for the titles ordered. Records may be supplied via FTP download or on diskette.
Paperbacks Only - If you prefer your paperbacks without covers or cataloging, simply select our Paperbacks Only Plan. You still receive the full range of quality services available to all McNaughton subscribers. Each paperback book contains a book pocket and book card.

Replacement Policy
Any book found to be publisher defective or damaged upon arrival will be replaced at no charge for up to 30 days from the date of receipt.
Management Reports
You'll receive management reports each month listing your monthly point balance. A consolidated report is available for larger library systems showing activity for each participating branch.
