A Cataloging Overview
To learn more about cataloging at Brodart simply click Brodart Cataloging. This introduction will give you a good idea of the products we provide and the customization available.

Cataloging is provided in two broad categories. The differences between them depend on the extent to which a "standard" record is customized to meet your library's needs.

Standard Cataloging
is delivered in machine-readable format per your local specifications, provided changes in our standard record all can be made programmatically.

Customized Cataloging
applies some additional programmatic and manual changes to your records.

Standard Cataloging
is a full level bibliographic record cataloged with the material in hand. These records follow AACR2 and LCRI rules. You may choose Dewey or LC classifications, Sears, LC, or LCAC subject headings, or even supply your own call numbers. In addition, brief customized item records and smart barcodes can be supplied .
