In 1939 a young Columbia University student named Arthur Brody invented the plastic book jacket cover. This innovation, in turn, gave birth to Brodart Co. Ever since, we've been protecting books.

Brodart book jackets provide the best possible protection for book covers during circulation. All book jackets are made of 1.5-mil lo-luster polyester film for proven durability.

RFID is an acronym for Radio Frequency Identification tag. They are small microchips that are encoded with an identifying number. The tags listen for a radio query and respond by transmitting their unique ID code. The devices are inexpensive and never wear out.

Libraries use tags in circulating material to sort, identify and track the use of the item they lend. To learn more about RFID tags click here .
