Pockets
Pockets hold book cards, date due cards, disks, maps or brochures. A library has the alternative of a plain or imprinted pocket and can specify the pocket placement location as well. Brodart provides three different styles of book pocket: short, tall and "McNaughton." They measure as follows:

Short Pocket
(3-1/4" tall x 3-3/8" wide
with a 2-1/2" pocket) |
Tall Pocket
(6-1/4" tall x 3-3/8" wide
with a 2-1/2" pocket) |
Deep Pocket
(4-3/4" tall x 3-1/2" wide
with a 3-3/4" pocket) |
The shortest pocket is used for McNaughton as well as books and is our most frequently-used pocket. The Deep Pocket is used when multi-line printing is required on the pocket face.
